Phones are down as of 5:23pm PST. I've been attempting for the last couple of hours to contact anyone out of the area by phone, but all I get is dead air.
I'm slowly losing power here, and the noises outside are getting louder. I keep hearing a scraping sound by the front door followed by moaning sounds, but I'll be damned if I'm going to go look out and see what's out there.
Anyone care to explain how the sky went from clear blue to bright red in the span of a couple of hours? I don't remember there being any warnings about sudden weather changes... of course, this may explain the loud booming noise I heard a couple of hours ago as I was checking my provisions...
