Something that'll make a lot of Doctor Who fans and haters of Russell T. Davies happy

Russell T Davies announces he will step down as executive producer of Doctor Who following the 4 specials to air in 2009, and will be succeeded by Steven Moffat

Personally I'm glad to see Moffat chosen to succeed him. He wrote the excellent "Blink" from last season as well as other episodes of the series, and his episodes always stood out as being true to the spirit of the original Doctor Who, moreso than anything else that's been done in the series so far.

Davies, however, has to be given credit for modernizing Doctor Who, but that's really the only part of his involvement with Doctor Who I'm really proud of.

Moffat has a bit of a darker tilt than some of the other writers, and has wrote some of the most brilliant episodes out there.
