So, for those of you who actually watch TV during the week, what shows are you watching, and what draws you to them?
For me:
Chuck: quirky and geeky - the story of an average guy who gets stuck with a miliary intelligence database in his head. The show has just about every geek reference down pat. Plus, it was created by Josh Schwartz (The OC) so geeks are in good hands. Just got picked up for a full season.
Heroes: Started off to be a down bit of a season, but the last few episodes have really taken the show back to the level it was at in Season 1.
Journeyman: This is easily my favorite show right now. From a writer's perspective it's got everything I could possibly want in a show - well developed characters, a plotline with REAL consequences for the protagonist, and some interesting ideas on how to handle time travel. Plus, it has Kevin McKidd (Rome) as the main character Dan Vasser.
Reaper: A kid has his soul sold to the devil by his parents, and on his 21st birthday the Devil (played by Twin Peaks' Ray Wise) comes to collect. He hires Sam to be his bounty hunter, and collect souls that have escaped from hell. It's just funny and ridiculous. Plus, Ray Wise as the Devil is just hilarious.
Stargate Atlantis: To be honest, I really only got into this because SG-1 has ended. Surprisingly it's turned out to be a really great show. Added to the cast are Amanda Tapping (Sam Carter) and Jewel Staite (from Firefly).
There's a couple more shows I'm watching still like CSI and a couple of others, but nothing really to write about that people don't already know.
So yeah, tell me what you like, and why. I like a good discussion :)
