So, for those of you who actually watch TV during the week, what shows are you watching, and what draws you to them?

For me:

Chuck: quirky and geeky - the story of an average guy who gets stuck with a miliary intelligence database in his head. The show has just about every geek reference down pat. Plus, it was created by Josh Schwartz (The OC) so geeks are in good hands. Just got picked up for a full season.

Heroes: Started off to be a down bit of a season, but the last few episodes have really taken the show back to the level it was at in Season 1.

Journeyman: This is easily my favorite show right now. From a writer's perspective it's got everything I could possibly want in a show - well developed characters, a plotline with REAL consequences for the protagonist, and some interesting ideas on how to handle time travel. Plus, it has Kevin McKidd (Rome) as the main character Dan Vasser.

Reaper: A kid has his soul sold to the devil by his parents, and on his 21st birthday the Devil (played by Twin Peaks' Ray Wise) comes to collect. He hires Sam to be his bounty hunter, and collect souls that have escaped from hell. It's just funny and ridiculous. Plus, Ray Wise as the Devil is just hilarious.

Stargate Atlantis: To be honest, I really only got into this because SG-1 has ended. Surprisingly it's turned out to be a really great show. Added to the cast are Amanda Tapping (Sam Carter) and Jewel Staite (from Firefly).

There's a couple more shows I'm watching still like CSI and a couple of others, but nothing really to write about that people don't already know.

So yeah, tell me what you like, and why. I like a good discussion :)

Though I find "Journeyman" interesting, it's destined for cancellation.

I'm glad that "Chuck" and "Life" have been picked up, though, as those are good shows.

I download and watch "Reaper", but I'm really growing to hate it, as it's pretty badly written, the episodes are formulaic to the point of annoyance, and the characters show no growth whatsoever.

"Moonlight" is badly written, but kind of fun in a "killing time on a Friday night" way.

Yeah, Journeyman tonight was really good. Chuck is easily my second favorite, especially tonight's episode (and good to see Morgan getting a more take-charge attitude). Life I watched once, and really couldn't get into it. I will probably catch up on it when everything else runs out of episodes.

I honestly haven't watched Reaper in about 2 weeks. I might watch tomorrow night. I'm not sure yet.

The last couple of "Reaper" episodes have been really annoying...

"Life" I really enjoy. It took a couple of episodes to really pick up, but it's pretty good. As a "CSI" watcher, I think you'll enjoy it.

"Dirty Sexy Money" is also really good and very funny.

Ugh. Big Bang Theory just offends me way too much. I tried watching it, but the characters don't appeal to me one bit.

It's gotten so much better, especially the last 2 or 3 episodes. They've been amazing as far as character development goes.

On a week to week basis I watch (or rather, download, because it takes forever for them to come to TV in Aus)

SGA- I just like it heaps. I don't know why. I actually got into the fandom by seeing all this fic about it, and thinking.. I should check this out. I did, and then I was hooked.

Lost- I started watching it on TV when it first came here and I was just drawn to it. I really can't explain why though...

Battlestar Galactica- My brother introduced me to this, and I just love the show in so many different ways. I love the politics and the realism and it's such gritty stuff, so different from the Stargates but so awesome none the less.

Oh, I love Chuck! I've been watching Pushing Daisies a lot also.

If you liked Wonderfalls, you'll like this one too. Bryan Fuller is awesome with cutsie satire.

Chuck is awesome.

I never saw Wonderfalls, but I'll give Pushing Daisies a look.

One of my favorites is How I Met Your Mother. Also Two and a Half Men, The Office, Earl, and the new show by the people behind the OC. can't think of the name now...
