Argh. I hate getting screwed over. I just lost out on $150 because the client is not getting back to me in time and is now on vacation for two weeks.  Now I have to scramble just so we can make rent.

Why do I keep doing this freelance stuff again?
I now have an account on Dreamwidth. I also have two invite codes, so if anyone wants to check it out, comment here and I will send you a code :)

I know I've been pretty quiet lately, but between moving to Ohio plus trying to keep up with school and trying to find some work, I've been stretched pretty thin. Hopefully things will calm down in a couple of weeks once I finish this quarter of school, but I can say that I am the happiest I've been in a long time thanks to a wonderful woman who means the world to me. Life in Ohio is pretty good... there's not a WHOLE lot to do in our area (we're about 20 minutes from Cincinatti) but we're planning on going to Columbus sometime next month after her son leaves for Colorado for the summer to go see Dismantled/Aesthetic Perfection/Combichrist so I'm looking forward to that.

But for now, not a whole hell of a lot going on. Hope everyone is doing well, and before you ask, yes I still miss Seattle and all my friends, but I am enjoying my new life quite a bit.

Comments are screened so no worries if you leave an email, or you can send me a private message and I will give you the code :)

Trip update

I haven't really had internet access until now, so I haven't been able to update on my trip. I left Seattle yesterday morning, after staying in town for a week thanks to the generous hospitality of [livejournal.com profile] purgatory_138 and [livejournal.com profile] nsobject. I want to thank them both for being such wonderful friends and putting me up on such short notice. We're currently in Fargo, North Dakota and it looks like we'll be heading out of here shortly and heading torwards Madison, Wisconsin and then Minneapolis before reaching Chicago. I don't quite know when I'll have access again to post, so I will make this short and sweet while I wait to reboard.

I'll post when I get home in Ohio, and let you guys know I made it OK. Take care for now!

Funker Vogt US Tour Dates - includes Seattle! AWESOME :D
... the reign of error is officially over, and a new era for President Obama, Vice President Biden and the rest of the Obama administration officially begins. I actually feel proud to be an American today. This is a landmark moment in the history of our nation, and I am proud to have been a part of it in some small way.

Well, shit.

Today is officially fired.

Dude!

I totally forgot Lifetime was going to be showing early episodes of How I Met Your Mother on Mondays. I almost missed it!

"I'm a rut-buster." Legendary!
There's a guy in Seattle who has sent letters to several gay and gay-friendly clubs saying he's going to be poisoning people with ricin.

You know, looking back 2008 was pretty much a pile of shit for me.

I mean, when school and an election are really all I enjoyed out of the year, it must have been pretty bad. Here's hoping 2009 is a much better year.

Happy new year, everyone!
